The GPCON photo controller is a low- voltage
class 2 device which provides three independent
outputs that may be connected directly to relays
or to an RMS. The control unit has adjustable
switching ranges that allow adjustment for high
and low setpoints of the deadband.
The control unit monitors daylighting of interiors,
atriums, skylights and exterior lighting using one
of four GLCS GPSEN-xxx photodiode sensing
elements.
In normal operation, the controller has a 3
minute time delay to eliminate nuisance switching.
The time delay may be bypassed for setup and
testing. When the level of light increases to the
adjustable high fc level and remains at or above
that level for 3 minutes, a momentary closure
between white and black will turn loads OFF.
When the light level decreases below the
adjustable Low level setpoint and remains at or
below that level for 3 minutes, a momentary
closure between white and red will turn loads ON
